Hillary plays the race and gender cards

There is a fascinating article written by Les Payne over at newsday.com about Hillary’s pension for slipping inn subtle reminders about race and gender into her campaign stops as Super Tuesday approaches. Here’s but a snippet:

In this stud-poker game of primary politics, Clinton slips in her race-gender card whenever it suits her game. Unsolicited, she slapped it down in the one-on-one debate declaring: “Having the first woman president would be a huge change for America and the world.” Such an Obama declaration about race would have crippled his chances in primary states where blacks are in the minority.
