Hillary wants to pay people to have children.
Friday, September 28th, 2007Yes, you heard it correctly. With the US population soaring over the 300 million mark, the tide of illegals swelling through the boarder, and a social services network on the brink of collapse, Hillary knows exactly what to do: encourage more bodies into the overflowing pot. And just how is she going to accomplish this feat? By giving a $5,000 bond to each child born. That’s $20 Billion dollars due at maturity given the estimate of 4 million children born each year.
Of course, she has no idea how to pay for it. But we know how she’ll do it; she’ll raise taxes! So, you’ll be paying more taxes to fund the “free” bond you think you child will be getting. Let’s just say you spend $300 more per year in taxes because of All of Hillary’s proposed tax increases. After 18 years when the bond matures, you will have paid $5400 in extra taxes. That’s $400 more than if you’d bought the bond at full face value to begin with! Can people really be this stupid to believe the crap that comes out of her mouth?
And what of all the children born before the “free” $5,000 bond law is enacted? Shouldn’t they be entitled to free money for their future? Sounds like age discrimination to us. We can just picture that lawsuit going to the Supreme court in 2010!
Now we all know what this is. This is a bullshit pre-election promise to entice poor people to vote for her. It’s utter crap. It will never happen. No way. No how. But to many people are just gullible enough to fall for it.
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton said Friday that every child born in the United States should get a $5,000 “baby bond” from the government to help pay for future costs of college or buying a home.
Clinton, her party’s front-runner in the 2008 race, made the suggestion during a forum hosted by the Congressional Black Caucus.“I like the idea of giving every baby born in America a $5,000 account that will grow over time, so that when that young person turns 18 if they have finished high school they will be able to access it to go to college or maybe they will be able to make that downpayment on their first home,” she said.
The New York senator did not offer any estimate of the total cost of such a program or how she would pay for it. Approximately 4 million babies are born each year in the United States.
