Spotlight on Hillary’s clandestine cash flow

What’s next Hillary, small bodegas funneling cash to the campaign?

One of the biggest sources of political donations to Hillary Rodham Clinton is a tiny, lime-green bungalow that lies under the flight path from San Francisco International Airport.

Six members of the Paw family, each listing the house at 41 Shelbourne Ave. as their residence, have donated a combined $45,000 to the Democratic senator from New York since 2005, for her presidential campaign, her Senate re-election last year and her political action committee. In all, the six Paws have donated a total of $200,000 to Democratic candidates since 2005, election records show.

That total ranks the house with residences in Greenwich, Conn., and Manhattan’s Upper East Side among the top addresses to donate to the Democratic presidential front-runner over the past two years, according to an analysis by The Wall Street Journal of donations listed with the Federal Election Commission.

What is hidden in Hillary’s papers?

Tuesday, August 14th, 2007

That’s the question we all want to find the answer to. But according to the workers at the Clinton Library, we won’t be seeing the information before the ‘08 election. What kind of crap is that? This woman is running for President of the United States. Every scrap of information about her life should be laid bare before the voting electorate. If it is conveniently “unavailable” before the general election, then this in itself should be another in the series of major red flags about the trustworthiness of Hillary Clinton. We are left asking the question, “Just what is this woman hiding?”

Clinton’s calendars, appointment logs and memos are stored at her husband’s presidential library, in the custody of federal archivists who do not expect them to be released until after the 2008 presidential election.

A trove of records has been made public detailing the Clinton White House’s attempts to remake the nation’s healthcare system, following a request from Bill Clinton that those materials be released first. Hillary Clinton led the healthcare effort in 1993 and 1994.

But even in the healthcare documents, at least 1,000 pages involving her work has been censored by archives staff because they include confidential advice and must be kept secret under a federal law called the Presidential Records Act. Political consultants said that if Hillary Clinton’s records were made public, rivals would mine them for scraps of information that might rattle her campaign.

Hillary denies she wants to Socialize medicine

Friday, August 10th, 2007

Hillary is whining again that she is the victim of a Right wing conspiracy. Liar, liar, pants on fire :)

During a forum at the National Association of Black Journalists convention in Las Vegas, Clinton was asked why as a candidate for president she is “still insisting” on bringing “socialized medicine” to the United States, when people are “pulling away” from similar systems in Canada and Great Britain. Worse, the questioner said, such systems hurt rather than help poor people.

“That was a string of misrepresentations about me and about the systems in other countries,” Clinton started. “Number one, I have never advocated socialized medicine, and I hope all the journalists here heard that loudly and clearly because that has been a right-wing attack on me for 15 years.” Source

We beg to differ:

Hillary’s 1993 plan for managed competition would band employers and employees into huge cooperatives with the bargaining power to challenge the insurance industry. It would force doctors, hospitals, and insurers to form partnerships in order to compete in offering the highest-quality health care at the lowest cost. The new competitive health marketplace would be overseen by a National Health Board.

Martha Derthick of the University of Virginia wrote, on this page, of the plan produced by Hillary Clinton’s 500-person task force: “In many years of studying American social policy, I have never read an official document that seemed so suffused with coercion and political naivete . . . with its drastic prescriptions for controlling the conduct of state governments, employers, drug manufacturers, doctors, hospitals and you and me.” Source

Sounds like Socialized medicine to us Hillary. Just because Bubba is attempting to redefine history, that doesn’t mean you get to as well.

Hillary accepts money from lobbyists!

Monday, August 6th, 2007

Stop the presses! Extra! Extra!
Okay, we’re kidding, but you wouldn’t know it to hear the story from her Democratic rivals. This is Hillary Clinton we’re talking about. Remember? She will sell her soul to anybody willing to cough up the cash. Remember her husband Bubba, and his particular affinity for Chinese money? We do!
Hillary learned from the best when it comes to accepting money and hiding its origin. So this shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone; least of all her opponents or supporters.

Democratic presidential front-runner Sen. Hillary Clinton is being taken to task by her two closest rivals for accepting $400,000 in campaign contributions from Washington lobbyists. Sen. Hillary Clinton dismissed criticism that she took money from lobbyists, saying it would not influence her.

Over the weekend, Clinton was booed by an audience of liberal bloggers in Chicago when she defended taking money from Washington lobbyists, something both Sen. Barack Obama and former Sen. John Edwards have vowed not to do. “I don’t think, based on my 35 years fighting for what I believe in, anybody seriously believes I’m going to be influenced by a lobbyist or a particular interest group,” Clinton said… Full Story
