We smell a rat in Hillary land

Monday, November 20th, 2006

Somebody definitely needs to “follow the money” in regards to Hillary’s 2006 NY Senate re-election campaign. How on earth could she have actually spent nearly $30 million on a campaign that was never even close? Something stinks here, and it ain’t the East River!

For the $30 million or more she spent on her re-election campaign, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton scored a 36-point victory over an obscure opponent, built a new set of contributors and began assembling the nuts and bolts she would need to run a presidential campaign, the NY TIMES is planning to report on Tuesday.

She also purchased more than $13,000 worth of flowers and funneled tens of thousands of dollars a month to consultants and aides.

The result was to deplete what had been a formidable war chests in politics down to a level that leaves her with little financial advantage over her potential rivals for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination — and perhaps even trailing some of them.

Hillary Clinton a centrist? Hardly.

Monday, November 13th, 2006

Despite her statement that “We are ready to roll up our sleeves and work with our Republican counterparts. Our country works best when we govern from the vital, dynamic center”, Hillary is only masking her true Left side. Just look at the tag line to her statement this morning. “Health care is coming back,” Clinton warned, adding, “It may be a bad dream for some.” A bad dream? More like a Socialist fiscal big government debacle in the making, if you ask us.

Hillary’s challengers begin to drop out

Sunday, November 12th, 2006

As the time approaches for Hillary to formally announce that she is screwing over all those sheeple who voted for her in New York, her would be challengers for the Democratic nomination for President begin to drop out. It’s obvious that she has the ability to raise more money than all of her potential challengers combined. With John Kerry’s last flub, and now the announcement by Russ Fiengold that he will not seek the nomination, the path for Hillary is clear. She will walk to the nomination unfettered, and unchallenged.

Sen. Russ Feingold has decided against seeking the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination, saying he wants to focus on his work in the Senate.

In a letter posted on his political action committee’s Web site, Feingold said he was excited that Tuesday’s elections gave Democrats control of both chambers of Congress, giving them the chance to “undo much of the damage that one-party rule has done to America.”

Is Hillary preparing for an even larger spending spree?

Tuesday, November 7th, 2006

With the way Hillary and her campaign threw around money during her never in doubt NY Senate re-election campaign, one can only expect a cash tsunami when the “real” election cycle begins. The ‘08 presidential election looks to be a cash cow for anybody and everybody who wants to get their palms greased. And remember, cash = votes!

To secure her Democratic re-election bid in New York, Mrs. Clinton spent $29.5 million through the middle of October, according to the Federal Election Commission, suggesting that she may have her sights on a future national campaign…

Mrs. Clinton, whose campaign reported sending a $6,585 check to Flutterbyes for flowers in Las Vegas, $5,397.50 to Le Petit Gourmet Catering in Glendale, Colo., and $80,000 to Tavern on the Green in Manhattan….

“It may be that Clinton is spending so heavily in New York to try to accomplish the kind of landslide that President Bush enjoyed in 1998,” said Mr. Toner, referring to the Texas governor’s race eight years ago. “The president’s 1998 race unquestionably helped lay the groundwork for a successful presidential campaign in 2000. History may be repeating itself.”

Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy test balloon

Wednesday, November 1st, 2006

Now that she knows her re-election is safe in hand, Hillary Clinton and her people have decided to send up a foreign policy test balloon. Oh yeah, it just happens to come one week before the most talked about, most over hyped Congressional election ever. So if it it pops, nobody will hear about it. And what pearls of foreign policy wisdom has she spouted? Let’s see:

First, and most obviously, we must by word and deed renew internationalism for a new century

In other words “We must suck up to Europe.”

Direct negotiations are not a sign of weakness; they’re a sign of leadership

In other words, “I have no real ideas, let’s try a focus group”

Referring to the Bush administration’s refusal to talk directly to North Korea she said: “Six years of policy with no carrots no sticks and only bad results.”
source

In other words, “Forget that this didn’t work for my husband. Pay no attention to the fact that the North Koreans were pursuing nuclear weapons while lying to our faces the whole time they pretended to cooperate.”
Yep, there you have it. We knew biologically that Hillary had no balls, but now she is proving it ideologically as well.
