Sen. Clinton Kicks Off Re-Election Bid

Wednesday, May 31st, 2006

Surprise, surprise, Hillary made no mention of wanting to be only a part time senator. Don’t New Yorkers care that she will in effect “serve” (and we mean that term loosely) only 1 year. After that she will start her campaign for The Presidency, and for all intents and purposed abandon New York. Just like Kerry abandoned Massachusetts. What’s the point of electing a Senator who doesn’t care about the state? Sheer idiocy we say.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton kicked off her bid for a second Senate term Wednesday…
“Let’s keep Hillary in the United States Senate and near her next home, the White House,” state Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver had told delegates earlier…

Hillary, why have you abandoned us?

Tuesday, May 30th, 2006

That’s the attitude of many New York Democratic power brokers these days. It seems Hillary Clinton’s vacillating to the right is finally beginning to piss off not only the high rollers in Manhattan, but the local Democratic clubs across New York State. Some are getting so angry at her they have begun to throw their support behind alternative candidates for New York Senate. Not that any of their efforts will matter. She is such a lock for re-election in New York, that we predict apathetic New Yorkers will generate an historically LOW turnout in New York State come September.

Some Manhattan Democratic clubs are launching a backlash against Sen. Hillary Clinton amid some of her recent shifts toward the right. Once a liberal favorite, Clinton is being shunned in her reelection bid by four local Democratic groups furious over her vote in favor of the Iraq war and her newly cozy relationship with conservative media mogul Rupert Murdoch…

“Some people wanted to send a message,” said Sylvia Feinman, president of the Gramercy club, which has backed Clinton in the past. “I think there is still support for her, but there were also some feelings expressed that she was moving away from the views of her base.” In recent months, as Clinton has geared up for what most believe will be a run for President, she has staked out new, moderate stances on several key issues — alarming some liberals in the process…

Hillary Clinton - Mistress of Double Talk

Friday, May 26th, 2006

Okay, before we get out of here for the weekend, here’s some more duplicitous double talk from the Queen of hypocrisy.

Our present system of energy is weakening our national security, hurting our pocketbooks, violating our common values and threatening our children’s future,” she said in a speech at the National Press Club. “Right now, instead of national security dictating our energy policy, our failed energy policy dictates our national security.

Ummm, no Hillary, the lunatics running around the world shouting “Death to America” are dictating our foreign policy right now. By the way Hillary, please note your flip flop on ethanol below.
And one more for the road:

The 55 mile speed limit really does lower gas usage, and wherever it can be required and that people will accept it, we ought to do it,” Clinton said.

The senator admitted that the move would be too unpopular to implement nationwide. “Well, there are just some parts of the country where that’s just not going to happen,” she said. “You know, where you’ve got miles of open, flat road.”

“I mean, there are things that can be done. So maybe the trade off is, you know, most of the country where 55 miles an hour doesn’t seem like a burden, we have that. In the rest of the country, inflate your tires before you head off into the sunset,”

Isn’t that what we have now? Speed limits dictated by road conditions? Insert obligatory picture of person scratching head HERE! This woman is sitting on more fences right now than an arthritic crow.

Enjoy the holiday weekend everyone :)

Hillary rally only draws 20 :)

A Hillary Clinton rally drew critics of President Bush, nonpartisan voters looking for a strong leader, and people who want to elect a female president.
About 20 people attended the Tuesday event, the national kickoff for Hillarynow.com, a grass-roots group pushing to draft the New York senator and former first lady to run for president in 2008…

Organizers hoped to have 200 people at the event in Nashville, a city selected to show that Democrats can win in Southern states. They were disappointed but said they are not focused on numbers.

Hillary’s duplicity evident regarding Ethanol.

Wednesday, May 24th, 2006

This is why Hillary Clinton talks a lot but never says anything. Because she is always on both sides of every issue, depending on who she is bullshitting at the time.

Hillary Clinton plugs increased ethanol use

Sen. Hillary Clinton, who once opposed requiring motorists to use corn-based ethanol in their cars, proposed Tuesday to dramatically boost use of the alcohol fuel.

Clinton called for $1 billion in grants for research on methods of making ethanol from plant cellulose…

But…

Clinton, who is considered a frontrunner for the Democratic presidential nomination, was one of 26 senators who opposed the energy bill passed by Congress last year mandating the use of 7.5 billion gallons of ethanol by 2012.

Clinton opposed both the ethanol mandate and lawsuit protections for
ethanol.

Will Hillary Clinton Lose Hollywood Cash to Al Gore?

Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006

Here’s an interesting piece that was sent in to us by a reader. It speculates that Al Gore is being considered as the Left Wing alternative to Hillary Clinton. Hmmmmm……

If Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) runs for president in 2008, she may lose an important Democratic constituency — Hollywood — especially if former Vice President Al Gore also runs, analysts told Cybercast News Service.

“Hollywood has gotten excited about Al Gore again,” said Larry Sabato, director of the University of Virginia Center for Politics. “Absence makes the heart grow fonder, and he’s been away for six years.”

Sabato said a Gore comeback in 2008 would resemble what happened four decades ago, when then-Vice President Richard Nixon barely lost the presidential election in 1960 to Democrat John Kennedy, only to return in 1968 and win the White House.

“This is all the Nixon pattern,” Sabato noted. “Incumbent vice president loses squeaker, runs eight years later and wins.”

“Al is the man” to people in the entertainment industry, conservative talk show host Michael Medved told Cybercast News Service. “All you hear from everybody in the entertainment industry is they’re very, very excited about who will be the left-wing alternative to Hillary: Al Gore.”

Hillary votes against English as our National Language!

In case you missed the story, the US Senate voted earlier today to make English our National Language. Hillary Clinton voted against it! You can view the full Senate roll call HERE!

Susan Sarandon to back Hillary Clinton’s opponent.

Thursday, May 18th, 2006

Is the Left getting sick of Hillary Clinton? Just a little food for thought. Not too long ago they were sisters in arms waging war against the Right. Now it seems that the only wars that Sarandon agrees with are the ones she chooses. Hypocrite just isn’t strong enough is it? How about charlatan, fraud, phoney, dissembler, double-dealer, pretender, or whited sepulcher?

Actress Susan Sarandon, a longtime liberal political activist and outspoken opponent of the Iraq war, endorsed an anti-war Democrat challenging Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s re-election bid Tuesday.

Sarandon is backing Jonathan Tasini, a labor advocate and former president of the National Writers’ Union, who has based his longshot campaign on Clinton’s vote in 2002 authorizing military intervention in Iraq…

Sarandon has been a harsh critic of Clinton’s vote on the war, telling a British television interviewer last month that Clinton had “crumbled under the pressure of the moment.” She also told ITV1 that she wasn’t enthusiastic about a Clinton presidential candidacy.
